New Volusia County water resources fact sheet now available
The LEC "From the River to the Sea" will focus on Volusia County's water resources and will include information on the County's geology, water use, water quality, and Floridan aquifer springs.

The USGS has released the first of three educational fact sheets that will serve to educate the public on Volusia County's water resources.  The three water-resource related fact sheets will be used by the LEC for displays and presentations, and distributed to the visiting public as educational materials.  The topics selected for these fact sheets are "Blue Springs", "Water Budget/Cycle of Volusia County", and "The Geologic Time Scale".

The first brochure, Volusia Blue Spring - A Hydrological Treasure provides some great information on Blue Spring and how springs work in general.
